Have you ever thought about how having just ONE of something transforms your life? Have you ever noticed what that one really reaps? It reaps MANY. Let’s take ONE trip to a developing country where we encounter people, living in dirt huts, walking six miles for drinking water, naked babies with bloated bellies and yellow eyes from malnutrition, sickness and death from disease not being treated, four year olds taking care of their one year old siblings and not a drop of hope lies within their eyes because this is all they have ever seen. One trip, encountering the most devastating sights of people hurting, will change you. It will change your friends and family because they too, now know the truth because of your one experience. You won’t be able to not respond to what you have seen, so you do what you can to help. Just one trip is the start to MANY lives being changed forever.
That is exactly the experience that Kai Princewill, one of our orphan care workers in Cameroon, West Africa experiences every day. This dedicated, hardworking, caring man is responsible for overseeing many of the orphans we sponsor through our program, and most of them live miles into the bush where it’s very difficult to travel. But they need him. And he continues to check up on them, despite the poor weather, terrible terrain, and long trips. He is a reminder that they are known and cared for. However, it’s getting to a point that it’s just not feasible for Princewill to spend days, perhaps weeks, making these long trips only to get stuck in the mud somewhere because a car was too big to pass through or his paid transportation will not make it on the terrain.
The quickest and safest way for him to continue to look after these kids is by riding a motorcycle rather than a car. It’s cheaper, safer, and more dependable. That’s what Princewill is to these orphans, after all, dependable. And we don’t want that to change; we want them to be able to wait for him in expectation. We want them to know that he will maneuver his way around those potholes, all day, all night, in the rain if he has to, because they matter…to him, to us, to you.
This is where we come in, those of us living thousands of miles away, yet knowing there is a need to be met; just as these villages depend on Princewill and the help of others like him, he depends on us. It takes MANY coming together to make an incredible and lasting impact.

We are partnering with PureCharity so that we can all come together to raise the funds needed to purchase a motorcycle for Princewill for him to continue to reach out to those who are in the hardest places to reach.
We are needing to raise $1,200 for the motorcycle, registration fees, and two helmets.
