2017 has been an incredible year and you were a huge part of making that possible! We hope that you are not only encouraged to continue doing good but also remember that these are real lives that you have impacted. Here is a story of just one of those:
Donalis first came into our program as a young child after both of her parents died of HIV/AIDS. Without any reliable caregiver, she had become very malnourished and weak. Without opportunities, education, or anyone to love and guide her, she was losing all hope. After entering our program, she lived at the transition home for a while due to health issues and behavioral problems. Despite these difficulties, we never gave up on her and neither did her sponsors! Because of them, she was able to progress through school, regain her health, receive mentorship and counsel that helped improve her behavior, and continue to grow into a beautiful young lady. Recently, she’s been placed with a devoted family who is capable of guiding her through her teenage years. She’s excited to have a place to call home
and a family who loves her as their own and she’s dedicated her life to living for Christ.
