Some of you may remember the story of the sweet twins, Mary and Isaac. Through God’s grace, we were able to meet these two babies at just the right time to offer them life-saving care. Less than a year ago Mary and Isaac were near death due to lack of proper care and nutrition. Our staff in Cameroon were able to take the twins in, nurture them, pray over them and love them – the recipe for great healing. Now Isaac and Mary are growing and advancing the way any healthy kid should be. Would you continue to pray for Mary and Isaac with us; that they would continue to blossom and that no side effects of being malnourished at a such a young age would come about.

Praise Reports: THE NEWEST MEMBERS OF THE SHAPING DESTINY FAMILY

Recently God has entrusted us with two precious lives at the Shaping Destiny Transition Home. Here is a story that God deserves all the glory for; it is a testimony of God’s goodness and his sovereignty over all of the universe including being the author of divine timing. Recently, a beautiful and faithful family were finalizing their adoption from Cameroon, West Africa, as finalizations were being completed, our staff needed to make one last visit to the young girl’s biological mother (who is physically and mentally ill). While they were visiting her biological mother it was brought to our staff’s attention that her biological mother had recently given birth to twins and lacked the knowledge and means to care for the two children. In fact, she was asking and begging other locals in the community to take the children from her because she did not want them. Knowing the mother’s mental state and inability to care for the two children we were able to take the children back to the Transition Home after realizing that the two were extremely malnourished and needed medical attention quickly. We praise God for his perfect timing. The family who had just got their adoption finalized had gone through several obstacles to get their daughter, including periods of waiting without having much knowledge on the next steps or when they would actually get to bring their daughter home, but this family being so faithful to God was able to see that if their adoption would have been approved or held off a day’s difference that the chances of them and the SD staff coming across this biological parent and her children that were severely malnourished would have likely not happened. If it would have been months sooner, she would not have yet had the children, and if it were days later the children could have taken on a terrible sickness, or been given to someone who could have taken advantage of them. Now the two children, Mary, and Isaac are in the Transition Home, continuing to receive proper medical attention, nutrition, love, and prayer. They are growing and improving every day. Once the children are healthy and a bit older we hope to find them a wonderful local Cameroonian family that will nourish, love, and disciple them into God-fearing children. Please join us as we continue to lift these two precious lives up to our Heavenly Father.
