Woke up about 4am for no apparent reason.  The children still sleeping, the doors locked, the weather fresh and the sky lit by the beauty of the moon, I spent some time alone.  The kids were up right at 5am and some rather sluggishly still wiping their eyes moved towards the devotional hall.  At about 5:15am praises were being heard from our devotion room, causing the whole Bengang village to awake and of course the singing wakes the other kids who did not wake up like clock work LOL.

I personally think that the Angels have a high respect for our Shaping Destiny kids, I must tell you that their voices can light up your day, I am sorry I think I told you that already.  Our devotion was from Rom 8:36-37 assuring them of God’s love for them and for all His children. We talked about how God is interested in every detail of their lives, evidenced in His provision for them through partners and sponsors that love them so much though some have never seen them.  I gave this exaltation and then taught a song that says; God’s love is warmer than the warmest sunshine, softer than a sigh, deeper than the deepest ocean, wider than the sky, brighter than the brightest star above and there is nothing in the world that can ever change God’s love.  They learnt this song in no time…yes those are our kids.

After devotions and breakfast we had a lot of administrative things to tackle with Jackie.  First we went to the building site and received a tour of the property.  We asked lots of questions and took notes for some suggestions and adjustments.  Took a video and pictures of the work; look out for that once I get back.  After that we headed to “The Presbyterian School Batibo” where some of our SD kids were shooting a music video.  I have one of the songs on video as well…look out for that LOL.

I do not think I mentioned that transportation in the village is done mainly by “Okada” that is a Motor bike taxi, so to speak.  That was my first experience on one and my driver knew that because I held him so tight he had to start laughing…I have pictures to prove it…LOL

We had a chance to visit a local restaurant to eat some “Achu and yellow soup” that is the traditional meal of the area.  In the afternoon I did some computer work and had the fasted internet service from our Shaping Destiny connection, which made me proud.  It has not been easy to deal with internet access since I have been in Cameroon.

In the evening Kenneth’s mum invited us for some pepper soup in yellow yams and the local brew called “palm wine”.  We had great fellowship, we were met with Kenneth’s brother and two sisters and other neighbors stopped by.

After a lot of laughter we walked the dark narrow road to our SD home to be welcomed by running kids saying “aunty welcome”.  I smiled up to heaven and said “I am a blessed woman”.
